A portrait is neither an image nor a mere likeness.
It is a moment of recognition —
sometimes the first time we truly see.
What sustains us often escapes our own gaze.
Essence is quiet.
Yet it moves with us through every phase of life
and remains present in the hearts of others
long after the body is gone.
With an attitude that does not need to prove itself.
In a time when many things are negotiated,
I work from a simple conviction:
human dignity is not negotiable.
My portraits do not grow from staging or perfection.
They grow from attentive looking —
toward what does not need improvement
because it already carries its own truth.
People often arrive at my studio with a certain tension.
They leave differently.
Moved by the discovery
that contradiction can hold richness
and that imperfection can carry grace.
My art does not expose.
It allows us to see again.
What remains is a quiet yes —
an opening to seeing again.

What holds the colors together is also what holds us together.
